In 2008, Tom collaborated with talented friend, Mark Johnson, on an album of 60's style surf/pop by the mythical group, Surfonics.

A fan of the The Beach Boys, Jan & Dean, and The Fantastic Baggys, Tom had sheets of his own lyrics and melody notes stashed away since the mid-70's until 30 years later when Mark helped set it to music.

The album appears as a complete vintage 60's product, including a fictitious history that Tom created, while the music appears in the features Beautiful Wave, The Last Push. And coincidentally, the back-up singers who helped bring the music to life shared another credit with Tom - they contributed to the soundtrack of Death Becomes Her!
